AAD responsibilities: AAD Melanie oversees the public, member and advocacy communications, marketing, creative and publishing (including, among others, Dermatology World and JAAD) activities of the Academy. She is a liaison to the Board of Directors’ Council on Communications and works closely with the Executive Director & CEO and Board of Directors to address specialty positioning, issues management, member communications and public education needs. Background: Experienced marketing communications advertising and public relations professional in various fields requiring health care, pharmaceutical, business-to-business and business-to-consumer communications. Gerson Lehrman Group Educator, experienced in planning, implementing and evaluating comprehensive marketing strategies and communications plans, with the ability and insight to employ the appropriate strategies and tools to meet specific business objectives.
