BIOGRAPHY

Rawaa Almukhtar, MD, MPH is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained laser and cosmetic dermatologic surgeon. Dr. Almukhtar is an expert in the use of lasers to improve a variety of medical and cosmetic conditions. Dr. Almukhtar is involved in cutting-edge clinical research for novel cosmetic treatments involving fillers, neuromodulators, lasers, vein treatments and minimally invasive body contouring. She has authored articles for several peer-reviewed publications and has written multiple textbook chapters. Dr. Almukhtar serves in leadership positions within several dermatologic societies including American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS), American Society of Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), and Women’s Dermatologic Society (WDS). She is also active on the legislative committee of Calderm.
