BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Brod received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania and completed his residency and Chief Residency in Dermatology at the University of Pittsburgh. He also recently completed a Master’s in Health Care Innovation at Penn which was a collaborative program with the Wharton School of Business and the Perelman School of Medicine. Dr. Brod is a Clinical Professor of Dermatology and Associate Dean of Continuing Medical Education and Interprofessional Collaboration at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. He is a Board Member of the AADA. He is currently on the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Academy of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery and Past President of the American Contact Dermatitis Society. He was the former Chair of the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine. Dr. Brod has lectured at state, national, and international meetings on health policy and advocacy and allergic contact dermatitis. He spoke recently on the topic of compounding and drug shortages at an FDA listening session in 2021 and previously testified before the US Congress on access to compounded medications. He is on active staff at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
