BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Teng has been a professor of Dermatology and Pediatrics at Stanford University School of Medicine since 2012. She also serves as the chief of pediatric dermatology and director of fellowship training program. Prior to joining Stanford University, Dr. Teng was the chief of pediatric dermatology at University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Teng’s has a special clinical and research interests in vascular anomalies, rare genetic skin disorders as well as inflammatory skin diseases. Her translational research focuses on understanding the pathogenesis of genetic diseases and targeted therapy discovery, especially via drug repurposing. She has been the lead investigator for more than 50 clinical trials and served as medical advisor for multiple rare disease patient support groups and foundations. She is the chief editor of Pediatric Dermatology Therapy textbook, Therapy in Pediatric Dermatology. In addition, she has published many book chapters and more than 120 peer-reviewed articles. Dr. Teng has also served many leadership roles in the Society of Pediatric Dermatology and the Women’s Dermatologic Society.
