P014 Managing Hair Disorders
DESCRIPTION
This session will address the diagnosis and management of hair loss and scalp disorders including old and new therapies, with a focus on diverse populations such as children, racial minorities, and gender minorities. Exploration of the psychosocial ramifications that make hair loss a unique and challenging problem will also be addressed. The target audience is the general dermatologist and trainees as well as anyone interested in improving their diagnosis and management of hair disorders.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Differentiate potential causes of hair loss and scalp disorders in a diverse patient population.
Formulate a culturally and individually appropriate treatment plan for the patient with hair loss and scalp disorders.
Prescribe new and old therapies useful for hair loss and scalp disorders.
