DESCRIPTION
Diana Nyad, renowned for her historic 110.86 mile swim from Cuba to Florida, epitomizes resilience and determination. A best-selling author and prominent sports journalist, filing over thirty years for National Public Radio, The New York Times, and others, Diana has a way of connecting with audiences in sharing her compelling life story. She demonstrated to the world the power of the human spirit when she spoke the words “Never Ever Give Up” to a cheering crowd on a Key West beach in September 2013 and continues to inspire others as a public speaker.
Closing out the session, AAD President Seemal R. Desai, MD, FAAD will be providing a brief update before the Welcome Reception begins on Thursday. Spend the first evening of Innovation Academy meeting and hearing an update from our President on the work the AAD is doing in advocacy, education, and philanthropy, then mingle with peers and industry experts.
