Members have inquired about how the recent law on bathrooms in publicly owned buildings in the state of Florida may impact attendees at the upcoming Innovation Academy in Tampa. Authorities with the Tampa Convention Center and Visit Tampa (convention & Visitors Bureau) confirmed that this law applied only to government-owned public restrooms in correctional facilities, government buildings, educational buildings and school changing facilities. Therefore, it does not apply to the Tampa Convention Center and will not be in force during the Academy's meeting.
