DESCRIPTION
Open admission to eligible categories, no tuition or ticket
This session will investigate the science surrounding topicals and orals for enhancing appearance and improving the exposome. Nutritional supplements for skin appearance will be surveyed in terms of the current marketplace. Skin of color needs will be addressed. Topical skin care agents, to include peptides, exosomes, growth factors, and DNA repair moieties will be assessed for their value in skin care regimens. Innovations in topical anti-aging technologies for the face will be compared and contrasted. In summary, this session will aid the attendee in assessing the current state of cosmeceutical and nutraceutical science.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Evaluate appearance oriented nutritional supplements for their value in promoting skin health.
Survey current innovations and trends in facial cosmeceuticals to gain an understanding of their value to the clinical dermatologist and in regenerative medicine.
Discuss cosmeceutical needs in skin of color.
