Dermatologists are often best positioned to manage patients with exposure to arthropods of Dermatologic significance. In this forum, we will illustrate common and uncommon arthropods known to bite, sting, and otherwise irritate the human skin, with a focus on recently published literature. Key clinical questions and the varied cutaneous reactions to arthropods will be discussed as well as practical management tips.

Identify insects and arachnids of dermatologic importance.
Describe key clinical clues and the cutaneous findings from encounters with these arthropods.
Treat patients with cutaneous symptoms related to arthropod exposure.
