DESCRIPTION
Open admission to eligible categories, no tuition or ticket
Contact Dermatitis is a very common dermatologic disorder that is detrimental to quality of life and can be expensive to treat and diagnose. However, many dermatologists are unfamiliar with evaluating patients with allergic contact dermatitis (ACD) and the process of patch testing. In this symposium, the speakers will discuss the evaluation and workup of adults and children with ACD. Unique scenarios of contact dermatitis will also be discussed including occupational ACD, pediatric ACD, as well as the challenges of patch testing and the education needed when allergens are found and possible next steps. Audience: Dermatologists, NP/PA, nurses, and industry. This activity has been approved by the American Board of Dermatology (ABD) for up to 30 Continuing Certification Program (CCP) Component 2 Self-Assessment points. For more information about CCP, please visit the ABD website at www.abderm.org.
