This session provides practical insights from speakers who have achieved rapid career success, each taking different paths in dermatology - from leadership roles in academia, being appointed CMO of a large dermatology organization, high level advocacy, transitioning to biotech industry, and opening their own private practice. There will also be a brief review of the style and structure of board exams, along with relevant post-residency requirements. Participants will have an opportunity for a panel-like discussion with the speakers at the end of the session.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Apply knowledge from early-career dermatology leaders to maximize one's career growth and leadership potential in varied practice environments.
Outline tools for craft post-residency plans and create a personally satisfying career as a dermatologist.
Describe the format of the American Board of Dermatology Board Examination, post-residency certification requirements, and American Board of Dermatology post-residency Continuing Certification Program (CCP) requirements.
