DESCRIPTION

Open admission to eligible categories, no tuition or ticket

This expert panel will teach how to leverage the procedural expertise that all dermatologists possess to better treat and support their patients with autoimmune disease. Intralesional sodium thiosulfate for calcinosis cutis, botulinum toxin for Raynaud's phenomenon, perioral hyaluronidase for microstomia, and adjuvant treatment with laser for various autoimmune sequelae are techniques within easy reach of all dermatologists and have the potential to provide profound positive impact for patients. We will review detailed approaches so that anyone can integrate these essential treatments into their practice.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

1.

Treat common sequelae and symptoms of autoimmune skin diseases with procedures all dermatologists can perform, such as injections and laser.

2.

Recognize appropriate applications and pitfalls of procedures in autoimmune skin disease patients.

3.

Determine which patients may benefit from these procedural approaches in autoimmune skin disease patients.
