DESCRIPTION
Open admission to eligible categories, no tuition or ticket
Speakers will show and discuss the basics of nail dermoscopy as well as the mail diagnostic characteristics of inflammatory nail conditions, infections, tumors and above all longitudinal melanonychia. All the dermoscopy signs will be always presented with their main differential diagnosis in order to provide a full picture of the disease. Images of pediatric and adult nails will be provided as well as images of different skin colors.
This activity has been approved by the American Board of Dermatology (ABD) for up to 10 Continuing Certification Program (CCP) Component 2 Self-Assessment points. For more information about CCP, please visit the ABD website at www.abderm.org.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Recognize dermoscopy signs typical of the most common nail disorders (inflammatory conditions, infections and tumors above all)
Perform a differential diagnosis comparing typical signs of diseases and their differentials and identify the best place to biopsy.
