DESCRIPTION

Open admission to eligible categories, no tuition or ticket

Since inception, the AAD's clinical data registry, DataDerm, has collected data on nearly 60 million patient encounters with the goal of promoting the highest standards in clinical practice and research, including addressing disparities in dermatologic care. Session speakers will describe how findings from DataDerm are being used to advance the understanding of rare dermatologic diseases. An innovative artificial intelligence tool, OM1’s Patient Finder, allows identification of likely undiagnosed patients and will be discussed. Experts will describe how predictive analytics can advance educational efforts to decrease patient suffering by accelerating diagnosis and reducing inappropriate, costly treatment.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

1.

Describe how registry data can be leveraged with artificial intelligence to gain a greater understanding of underdiagnosed diseases to subsequently develop education and awareness initiatives.

2.

Review the power of predictive analytics in identifying undiagnosed patients to reduce patient suffering and unnecessary treatment costs related to misdiagnosis.
