Drug rash with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS) is a severe cutaneous drug reaction with a mortality rate up to 10%. Dermatologists often play a central role in the diagnosis, management, and long-term monitoring of patients with DRESS. This session will explore how to formulate a comprehensive work-up of patients suspected of having DRESS as well as discuss treatment approaches for patients with DRESS, with a focus on severe, steroid-refractory cases. Long-term autoimmune sequelae of DRESS will also be reviewed.
