S057 Alopecia: Work-up and Treatment
DESCRIPTION
Open admission to eligible categories, no tuition or ticket
This session will present updated and practical tips for diagnosing and managing hair loss disorders, including androgenetic alopecia, alopecia areata, lichen planopilaris, frontal fibrosing alopecia, and central centrifugal cicatricial alopecia. Treatment modalities including minoxidil, janus kinase inhibitors, platelet rich plasma therapy, and hair transplantation will be discussed. A patient-oriented approach will be emphasized.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Evaluate patients with different types of hair loss complaints.
Analyze and synthesize patient history, laboratory/histopathology data with clinical findings.
Formulate treatment plans that are evidence-based and patient-oriented.
