Learning a process for error disclosure is an essential skill for all practicing dermatologists. Involvement in a patient safety event can have a strong negative impact on a provider’s mental health and wellbeing. This session is designed to instruct providers on best practices for error disclosure using real-life safety event examples, small group discussion, and role-playing activities.

Formulate an effective and successful error disclosure discussion with a patient after a safety event has occurred.
