F065 What's New in the Management of Advanced Skin Cancer
DESCRIPTION
Open admission to eligible categories, no tuition or ticket
There are multiple medical and surgical treatment options that have become available for the treatment of advanced non-melanoma skin cancer, melanoma and other tumors such as Merkel cell carcinoma. This session aims to familiarize the attendee with the available options, select appropriate patients and formulate a management approach, possibly using a multidisciplinary team for treatment of advanced skin cancer. Management of adverse effects is an important consideration. Trial data will be presented on approved and emerging treatments as well as ways in which patients who fail to respond, or experience progressive disease on therapy may be assisted with new options.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Define patient types that may be candidates for treatment of advanced skin cancer.
Describe available and emerging options for the medical and surgical treatment of locally advanced and metastatic skin cancer.
Formulate a medical and/or surgical management approach to patients with common and uncommon types of advanced skin cancer.
