DESCRIPTION

Open admission to eligible categories, no tuition or ticket

We all treat cutaneous lichen planus. However, do you screen for ocular or otic lichen planus? We will discuss the subtypes of lichen planus (cutaneous, oral, vulvar, esophageal, ocular, otic, and more), reviewing the cross-specialty literature regarding prevalence, treatment efficacy, associations and triggers. This is a treatment-centered talk with the goal of being highly relevant to the medical dermatologist.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

1.

Recognize the role of the dermatologist in diagnosing and treating multi-site, mucocutaneous lichen planus.

2.

Describe the different subtypes of lichen planus and evidence-based treatments for each.

3.

Identify evidence-based vs. non-evidence-based associations reported with lichen planus.
